4. The only 360 that doesn't come with an HDD is the Arcade (and the Core, which was discountinued), even so, far more Premiums, Pros and Elites have been sold, which all have HDD's.
5. What is 25GB on Blu-Ray could equate to 8GB on DVD with the serious lack of compression on Blu-Ray. And if they wanted to, they could just have you swap DVDs. It only takes 10 seconds. That's the reason I don't like the PS3's "update system." They'd rather have you do a 5 minute update than have you switch discs once, which takes 10 seconds.

Didn't I say most of that above?

Ive always preferred a console over a PC for gaming but i cant imagine GW being much good on a console, if its like the first anyhow.

Pc gaming is always going to be better then console mainly cuz you can upgrade you pc when ever you want you have to wait for a console to come out with a new version. which is lame imo
though i think pc game is best i wouldn't mind seeing more games make the jump.

First, for anyone saying Vista isn't crap...XP never required 3-4 gigs of RAM to use the features that make it unique. Every independent article on it(PCWorld, PCMagazine, etc) says don't buy, wait for windows 7. Corporations were in such an uproar about the bloat, threatening to go all open-source on their PC's, that Microsoft extended service for XP to 2010. Dell, who jumped whole hog on the XP train when it came out, cranked their arm to make XP available to them as an option for their customers. Not the signs of a good system, to me. Even MS is admitting that the future is with Windows 7 in 2010m not with Vista.
OT: Ask Eidos how much fun it is to port Conan to the 360. It's been a headache for them since they agreed to it. Porting a game to both takes time and money they can spend making a PC game better. It's different porting a PC game to a console than a PS3 game to a 360. I'd rather they just stick to making GW2 great on the PC. Get a controller if you want to play it that way. Yeah, the X360 is so much better than the PS3. Universities are making supercomputers out of PS3s and Cells, while the 360 gives us HD DVD, which puts them in the same category as the mini disks of the purple lunchbox Nintendo. GG with the hardware, microcrap.

MMORPGs make terrible console games. There are so many abilities that you wouldn't be able to keybind them all...

But how many people actually upgrade their PC's? With the exception of hardcore gamers.
Not only that but upgrading PC's especially gaming PC's can be quite expensive.

MMO's = Computers.
We don't want consoles to gain world domination. To many games I want that are console exclusive already -.-.

That makes no sense at all. You don't update the system with discs or anything like that. You just making crap up there...

That totally depends on how you want a mmorpg to be.
There is no reason there should be "so many abilities".
Just look at monster hunter: it had nihil amount of abilities. And it rocked. Didn't had any atributes or a lvl system(did had a rank system) either. It was never set in stone a MMORPG had to have these.
Or champions ; it did had abilities but the most were passive; and the ones who weren't could easily be keybound to the arrowkeys (wich worked out just fine).
An MMORPG like GW isn't gonne work out for PS3 or XBOX360 (unless they come up with some crazy idea/3d party tool).
Other MMO's can work out just fine on the PS3 or XBOX360.
Same thing as people claiming online shooters on PS3 and XBOX360 suck.
I had more fun playing bf: modern combat or MGO1-2 on the ps2/ps3 then I had playing battlefield on my computer.
Once you get used to the controls; it doesn't make a huge difference if you're playing on a console or a PC.

GW2 is not perfect for consoles because GW1 has already been released for the computer.
It just wouldn't be right if it came out for the PS3 or Xbox 360.

i don't think GW2 will come for consoles
it still has to update like any other game
and i still prefer MMO on PC cuz of the ease with click and point

your point just proved why consoles will always be better for most gamers though, cos for some games, like oblivion, fallout 3,etc... the ones that push a pc to breaking point, just work on a console, job done...

With next-gen, you have to upgrade console eventually too.
Good argument would be that PC allows one to upgrade games .... but that is bad thing too as it makes quality of released stuff much much worse thanks to "we can always patch it later" thought.

There isn't much reason for the PS3 to not be capable of running a MMO considering it has KB/M support. I'm not sure if the Xbox 360 has had KB/M support enabled for games without resorting to 3rd party applications/devices, but you would have to pay for Xbox Live meaning it would not be totally free online, though a nice bonus for those that already pay.
To say its not possible, or wouldn't work, is misleading. MMOs have already been done on consoles (Phantasy Star. Final Fantasy, etc), and even on PC people find ways to make Control Pads work in MMO's (anyone finds one for Tabula Rasa feel free to let me know), as it has already been done on Guild Wars.
While unlikely I'm all up for multi platform gaming, as long as it doesn't affect the quality of the PC version which will most likely always have a wider audience. With that said I think Guild Wars would probably attract alot of people from a console crowd (well it attracted me) and would probably garner alot of attention from gamers on consoles if it was ever developed multi platform in the future. You only need to follow the development of Fable 2 to see the direction online RPGs are headed for consoles online.

Wouldn't make financial sense to make it multi-platform. Extra work means extra cost. They'd have to do significant evaluations of the potential customer base, which is many months if not a good year.
Extra costs:
Getting the disc done for both platforms
Cover art
Manuals
Advertising
Shipping/Transport
All this has to be factored in. Only then will they know if the profit margin is high enough to make it worthwhile. I personally believe it won't happen. It worked for some games, but these games had mass appeal (GTA for example)
GW just doesn't have the mass appeal required to make it a success in the console market. To get a more unbiased view you'd need to post such a thread on a gaming site aimed at both markets.

But thats not true either... as its already happening on 360 and PS3 too...
Console games get updates too, not just downloadable content like new maps, etc... but also game updates and patches too
